If the time and costs of these things (masking tape, plastic, respirator filters, spray suits, demasking) exceed the time and costs it would take to just cut and roll it, you're better off just doing that obviously.

"Mineral spirits" will work better but is more expensive and is not worth it for this application.Wear respirators with organic vapor cartridges, I recommend half-face 3M 6000-7000 series with 3M 6001 cartridges.

The house wreaked of cat urine... we literally had to use respirators to clear out the house... and even after stripping all the soft surfaces out after the owner left the house, it still smelled horrible...make that HORRIBLE!
