Maybe it's planning a trip to see the in-laws that you hate, maybe it's doing the cooking for a month, or repainting the fence in the back yard you've been telling her you would get around to for the past two years. 

Some people have a natural eye for color-for those who don't (90-minute In-Home Color consults range from $95-$350) it can cost you big on the back end by having to repaint if the combo you chose comes off "murky" because your white trim had the wrong base or a popular golden-mustard turns "dirty-diaper" in your lighting.

bottom panel is a different shade of brown so I have to repaint the entire door unfortunately.    

Replacing all light fixtures, faucets, doors, door knobs, ceiling fans, every inch of wall was repainted, all moulding from brown to white, new laminate flooring through the whole first floor and vinyl in the bathrooms, repainted the deck, and really landscaped outside, as well as a brand new porch.

I'm wanting to know how much it would cost to re-paint old kitchen cabinets?

Inside this place it looks like a brand new house, and the outside was redone and repainted.

Not only does it make the house stink, but there's a lot of extra labor involved (i.e. washing/scrubbing walls) whenever it's time to repaint. 

You can lose more money by evicting, having to repaint, and finding a new tenant.

New floors are needed, plus a repaint and popcorn ceiling removal.

I would also add, it's possible you could end up repainting with Kilz which will "seal in" the cause of the smell functionally eliminating it.
