In my market there has never been a time span of 12 years without increase and the 12 years was after the Great Recession.My belief is the reliability of each depends on the market.  

Any belief that the cap would be temporary was unfortunately misguided.

Some folks will only book via the OTA based on a belief they have more protection, even if they've stayed w you before. 

Regardless if you have skills in finding deals or have access to capital, without a good network, you won't close the deal.I agree you need a good network in real estate, but my issue with this belief is that too many aspiring investors get caught up in the networking process and spend little to no time developing actual real estate skills (marketing, sales, negotiation, analysis).

The most interesting point of this post is that every time I hear or read about someone getting ripped off in real estate, there is always this long drawn out belief in all the lies that eventually everything will be made whole.

Sorry but that LL is an idiot..... you either kick that person out in Feb 2022 or you religiously monitor that property for more illegal/unauthorized activity....because its going to happen.

Everyone posts their beliefs and sometimes they do not end up being true.  

Not only are some people totally unknowledgeable and totally invested in their opinions, but they make stuff up to support their opinions and emotional beliefs.  

What limiting beliefs surprise you the most when you see them in others?

The best bang for your buck is arguably 30-90 day trades and I would have made a ton more by having a shorter time frame, but I am happy with my gains and the risks required.Apologies to the op for the hijack but I think this relates to his belief that at some point the house of cards will collapse.
