Then that marketing company would furnish and rent out the unit STR on Airbnb.You would still own both but reap the benefits of looking “traditional” to a lender while maximizing ROI with Airbnb via the marketing company you create while still putting the same $$ in your pockets.

One thing to consider if you are buying in a STR only community is that when you are ready to sell, only another investor is going to be able to purchase..and what do all investors want....a good deal.

Ok...so the short of it is that Destin came up with a few new rules recently for short term rentals...this was mainly due to STR on Holiday Isle being over-occupied which caused parking issues for full timers.

I still think the market is over priced and don't really have a desire to invest in Oregon unless it was a destination STR on the coast or mountain later on.I like your idea of the ADU except our property really doesn't have property.
