I’ll also mention that both Incline Village (NV) and the Placer County (CA) part of Tahoe have basically the same thing going on with permissive STR permitting.

It is a little tricky and risky, but possible, you would need to make arrangements before the auction with the auctioneer and permission of the trustee to have  immediate possession of the property.

You could maybe argue about the one they did the legal on and not pay that bill if it was without your permission (of course what does the agreement say).Probably not worth getting an attorney to fight this as it will cost you more next timeQuestion: did you have an attorney review this agreement prior to signing?
