So even if a lease has an expiry date, you can not evict for any reason other than the typical reasons (Personal use of the property or extensive renovations) We have fixed-term agreements and periodic agreements(month to month) in Alberta, we are definitely luckier over here as we can simply terminate a fixed term at the end of it without any reason.
