My experience with the landlord tenant court (Denver County) is that it operates more like Judge Judy than Perry Mason.

I took a calculated risk that I would be in front of Judge Judy on Monday.  

@Judy P.I have some cash saved up for rehab costs. 

I don't advertise month to month I don't want transient renters, once they show up for appointment and if theyI feel they are good candidate before application I let them know I'm month to month only.. never had a issue yet.Ya need to watch some Judge Judy.. :)

Judge Judy had an episode where tenant put down a deposit and 1st months rent on unit and paid it to a person posing as the landlord.

Judy Hamblen I want to buy a 4 plex and love in one unit.

@Scott Houin  and this knee jerk reaction to get a lawyer is stupid to the 10th power.. no one does that over a few hundred bucks.. if they STOLE all your rent money that's one thing.. but this is a simple matter if you don't like what they did fire them.. but get a lawyer lets get real the people that would say that have Zero experience in litigation or legal matters.. its just a default saying.. if your really that upset .. maybe you take them to small claims court and see what judge judy has to say about it.
