Unsure about STR regulations in Charleston but I would advise you to search "arbitrage" on this forum and read up on the hundreds of pros and cons responses here before diving in to any market using the arbitrage model.

I've seen other people in the forum who simply use independent savings accounts but it is not clear to me if that is legal.

My piece of advice would be to try to take advantage of as much free education as possible with podcasts, forums like these, YouTube, and other real estate investors.

If you would like to generate your own leads, I would pop over to the the wholesale section of the forum and start there, and perhaps purchase some books from the BP store.

He even chatted with me through this forum (Bigger Pockets) and was very encouraging that you can even do it just with free stuff out there.  

If there are any owners on this forum that have any first-hand experience with STRs in the Kissimmee area?

I have a great accountant but I haven't asked her yet about this, and thought I'd run it by this forum.
