Hello there community, in the recent days I have been teasing the idea of house hacking if I decide to move in the future  in SLC ( love skiing and the nature). 

It seemed a natural fit for me since I always wanted to be a businessman but still had a 9 to 5.

@Mike Lambert I'm curious about the nature of your investments in Mexico, geo area, type of investment, etc?

This is just the nature of commercial loans. 

That takes a little time to develop those resources - but they naturally come with experience.

Its just kind of the nature of the beast and investing were over 50% of all homes are rentals its a different lifestyle than what we are used to at least on the west coast were maybe 10% of SFR's are rentals  renters rent apartments.

I would suggest you be as genuine and natural as possible.

@Jonathan Greene and @Mike Grudzien I agree but I was hoping to hear from some certified appraisers and if they would comp leased land versus owned land in an appraisal.Jonathan, you are guaranteed the land through the current lease period, but not guaranteed of a renewal.  

Given your focus on equity and scaling for future development, targeting properties where you can force appreciation through value add renovations seems like a natural fit.
