I guess that is why so many people buy lottery tickets, to have a little nicer car to drive to work....I grew up watching my mom carefully invest in stocks that she held for decades and built a nice portfolio with, I could never understand people who would get a bonus and spend it rather then invest it.  

The Unemployment bonus runs out at the end of July.

The good thing about bonus depreciation is that you can take the amount eligible for bonus depreciation in that given year.For example - if you place a $50,000 item under 5 Years MACRS on December 31st, it would be eligible for bonus depreciation which as of right is now 60%.

It’s only a 2 Bed/1 Bath, but it’s 1,450 square feet with a laundry room (which could be turned into a 3rd bedroom), has a bonus sunroom, and 2-car garage.

Would I be eligible to take the bonus depreciation on my 2024 taxes?

We've saved about $40k so far but with bonuses at the end of this year from our jobs we should be over $50k very soon.

They also did not know that their SS mangers were kiting $5K per month of rents so the rent roll made no sense and I got the bonus of the missing $$'s.
