This is my opinion and mine only - functional communication requires listening, truthfulness, transparency, and an easing of threats.

In truth you don't have a lot of power over when and if she pays, but you can and should use the power you have.We have this clause in our agreement and we talk about it before they move in so that they are clear who the primary is and what that means. 

The ability to speak the hard truth with empathyIt doesn't matter how good a mentor is: if they don't mesh with you personally, it will be a disaster.

(Again, nothing wrong with it, but I think answering it truthfully will help guide you to an answer). 2.

People should hear the truth, (tough love) not have sunshine blown up their butt.

This is participation trophy culture and reverse trolling at its finest.I guess from now on, you can only give back pats, hold people's hands on their journey, and encourage them, and not tell them the truth about their questions, investment ideas, or future plans.
