You get some seasonal events: tennis tournaments, golf tournaments, Coachella, Stagecoach, various festivals.

Even got to watch a little of the Final Table of the Champions Tournament.

If I don't block some days for us in the summer we wouldn't be able to use it.We also have Bass Pro tournaments, Clemson University events such as Graduation, parents visiting kids, and football game weekends that all drive more revenue for us. 

If you want to target STR guests who are traveling for conferences, business trips, sports tournaments, etc. you won't find as much of that here as in Charlotte. 

I am thinking of maybe sponsoring a 3 on 3 basketball tournament or something of that nature.

James Inman, city manager of Bessemer City, envisions various tournaments and sporting events, whether sanctioned by Bessemer City Parks and Recreation or another organization, will be centered at the park.

One thing I do know about is the baseball field is really popular for big tournaments and having teams stay at a house vs hotels make a lot of sense but that seems seasonal.
