It's been a few years since I read it, but the gist of it was - in order to be able to deduct 100% of your travel expenses (i.e. airfare,  hotels, rental car) - you must be able to show the primary purpose of your trip was for business. 

We have a corporate card and rack up buku points, which I then transfer to my personal chase sapphire preferred card and use to book airfare on skyteam airlines (United, Singapore Air, All Nippon, Lufthansa, Southwest

I just finished reading about the tax deductions for rentals, and noticed it mentioned deducting long distance travel (air fare). 

The cost was something like $300 plus hotel plus airfare.

Some other contributors in July were apparel (0.6%), air fare (1.2%), and motor vehicle insurance (0.5%).

Buy one for 175K with 75K down and take the other 25K as cash boot to pay tax and buy airfare to "manage" your FL properties.You got lots of options!

Some insurance carriers you need to purchase specific limits ($2K, $5K, etc) and others will pay for all reasonable & necessary ALE expenses (above your normal expenses) up to a year.The airfare would not be reimbursable.

It's a set weekly amount and I withdraw the cash the same day every week.We have a budget for everything - haircuts, clothes, fun, airfare (emergency as we live 2000 miles from family), vacation, vehicle maintenance and inspection and registration even.

I want those points so when I do go on trips I use Miles for my airfare and points for my hotel.. my international trips cost me very little .. domestically if its over 2 hours I fly first.. price difference is not that great.. and with tight connections I like being first off the airplane most wont know that it takes 30 minutes to get off if your behind the wing and you could easily miss your connection.
