I remember the story of the Zillow CEO when he sold his house in Seattle for about 40% less than the Zestimate. 

Real estate loans to owner occupied properties where the business of the owner is closed down - or SHOULD be, and the owner needs some time to sell the property.  

I have family in Houston, Dallas, and the Valley, I was networking with brokers in San Antonio, but the Taxes seem to be quite high as well in that State, although much favorable laws/regs on the landlord side.

Always hard money lenders at the meetups and normally some wholesalers as well.Just remember your best deals are probably not from wholesalers, but the deals you generate yourself. 

@John Zhang If your wife qualifies for Real Estate Professional Status (REPS) and materially participates in managing rental properties, there is no limit on the amount of rental losses, including depreciation, that can offset your W-2 income.

That way, you are picking out the best of the bunch and keeping the peace with the others.  

Hello Jon,Just something to consider I don't know the details but beaverdam lake gets drained periodically and its just a mudpitt. 

I’m getting re-acquainted with the BP community after purchasing my first house hack in the Pittsburgh area, and would love to make some connections with other like-minded young professionals and investors in the area.And if there’s anyone out there who’s just getting started and looking to make the jump to buy their first property, I’d love to offer up advice, share my network of contractors in the area, and answer any questions that I can from my experience over the last 6 months!
