What’s the best strategy to buy and finance?

We had just listened to a podcast with Marco from Norada as the guest (Passive Wealth Strategies for Busy Professionals: Demystifying Turnkey Real Estate Investing) and were reviewing the information about the notes on their site.

It's always a tough call on whether to just do a day trip or pay for a rental as the costs of a nice rental can add up quickly.The TL/DR (which I'll expand on) is that we ended up changing to a strategy of letting others help pay for a cabin that we know we'll love.

My strategy has been to grow aggressively (by using as little of my own money as possible) to secure good assets, and once stabilized, then work to pay down loans to own them free and clear sooner rather than later. 

Hi @Saika Maeda - it seems like you received good advice to legalize the unpermitted unit as the best strategy to move forward with.

That said, I'm looking to BRRRR this upcoming year, but that's only because the first 3 properties allowed us to build up enough capital for this strategy to make sense.
