. ;-)If the area you "ripped up" is not too large, bring in a floor refinisher (or two) in to look at the situation and let you know if the floors can be restored and whether it would be cost effective to take that approach.

It might be that you will encounter some building restoration issues, and they will need you to update/upgrade the existing utility connections/framing etc, call your building and safety and see if they could give more information to you about the subject property.
