In reality when the unit has no water, the toilets don't flush, and you will have to deal with that on the turn.Sometimes, in such situations, the bath tub gets used as a latrine, leading to a very unpleasant situation when the unit must be turned.Good Luck!

As for the leach field, there are ways they can detect those, by doing a radio controlled device flushed down the toilet and following it to see where it goes, etc.

With a septic tank the only thing you should be flushing is crap and toilet paper - no flushable wipes (they don't go in sewers either, btw), no paper towels, feminine hygiene products, diapers, food from a garbage disposal, etc.
