The house was in fine shape, not sure they ever fully moved in by the looks of it, needed nothing to be done for a turn but a minor cleaning so we agreed to let them out of the lease, full SD back as long as they signed an agreement there was no mold and they would never pursue any damages or claim any issues etc.

New siding shingles can be purchased that are made of non-asbestos material to replace any original ones that are damaged and they are easy to paint - we do that for cosmetic purposes but we don't replace or encapsulate the entire house.That said, I would talk to your Realtor to determine if there are any Michigan-specific rules/regs regarding asbestos siding.

Sounds like she was putting up with your noise and door slamming without complaint even though it caused damage to their personal property, until you accidentally picked a very stressful time to complain about a radio at a decent hour — which should not have been a complaint unless it was louder than noise ordinances, quiet hours, or there’s a weird lease term about playing music.

thanks for the good info. the address of the building is 816 E 90TH PL. something was telling me that my trip to the building department would be unsuccessful ..thanks for confirming my theory. yes the violations require many permits for sure. no the building does not have a red X on it. i believe red X should warn the firefighters about structural damage, previous fire damage etc. what's the process in that case ?

While I have good cleaning people, numerous handi-persons and licensed contractors, their availability is not 24/7/365 I have to pinch-hit on guest issues and repair problems when the support staff is unavailable.We often find problems, broken, stained, damaged & missing items, during turnovers that have to be dealt with quickly.
