I once attended a corporate meeting where the guest speaker was Rudy Giuliani and in addition to being paid for the speech, the contract called for the room in which he gave the speech to be maintained at exactly a certain temperature +/- 1 degree while he's in that banquet hall. 

I recently heard a speaker mention the idea of purchasing a beneficial interest in a Roth IRA.  

(I have a side gig ghost writing for comedians and speakers).I felt I have been "called out" by your post based on what I talk about here on BP; use of spreadsheets (check), web scraping software (check), Arizona and Florida tax lien investing (check & check).You ask a great question though - how to do the analysis on the properties. 

I've been to other seminars where you think you are going to see the owner of the company and get to see or talk to one of the speakers they hired, but don’t.

Depending on the club, there could be a speaker presenting some investing ideas and strategies that is working for them in the area.

Good attendance, knowledgeable speakers and a lot of networking going on.

The next time you enjoy filet mignon at the club, send word to thechef that it was excellently prepared, and when a tired salespersonshows you unusual courtesy, please mention it.Every minister, lecturer and public speaker knows thediscouragement of pouring himself or herself out to an audience andnot receiving a single ripple of appreciative comment.

Seminar attendees - this is especially true if you live in a city like Orlando where every know speaker comes and gives presentations.

I don't know how the one in Dallas will work, but usually there are speakers who will present for 30 minutes or an hour, and then have other stuff to sell.
