So saying that licensed plumbers, electricians, hvac contractors dont know what they're doing is absolutely BS because the tests here are not easy at all and takes years of experience to get to the point of even being able to take the exam.Not sure if you operate in NJ but here's some laws you can cite if you do:45:5a-18 exempt work: see if you plan on doing electric work yourself. 13:32-4.1 (d) applies to plumbers who allow unauthorized people to use their seals/ stamp permits and are subject to penalties and sanctions. if you do operate in NJ or plan to know what you can and cannot do without a license and know the scope of work. 45:14c-12.a fines can total up to $10,000 for first offense and not more than $20,000 for each subsequent offense.
