Using such cheap “handymen” is a good way to end up like the chic in Shameless when the unlicensed roofer’s “employee” fell off her roof and sued the property owner.

So you have uneducated and unlicensed people often learning fast talking tactics from a guru.

Everyone I call is either backed up or doesn't respond or worse, they sub-contract out the work to unlicensed/sub par vendors. 

The business is likely unlicensed but I don't know if that matters for this type of business (etsy-type crafts).
