The strange thing is that come to find out, this is the same owner that I reached out to 6 years ago to have the fence replaced after it was falling apart... and so we had an established communication channel and worked together in the past to split the cost.

Ok, it's much more likely your name isn't NA NA and you have the same name as Dorian Gray, but I don't think I'm 100% convinced, especially given your history and your strange posts. 

I'm thinking of dumping the Long Beach place not sure about CT.. it's a very strange place and I've been coming here for 8 years on and off..

From my limited experience with LTR so far, strangely I find that STR’s are cleaned better and maintained more often.

The bank may have written the property off, but the loan servicing company keeps paying the taxes. all kinds of strange things can happen.

Mortgage applications are way high.Also consider these facts:  the Millennials are saddled with incredibly high debt, both personal (college and credit cards) and inherited debt (printing worthless money to cover the government's deficit spending).Anyone claiming to know the direction or pace of events will probably lie to you about other stuff, too.So I tell my clients, "These are strange times, and no one can predict the future with any certainty. 

Strangely enough, we dubbed it our "forever" home and made the purchase.

Purchase price: $320,000 Cash invested: $37,750 3 family unit2 x 3 bedroom 1 bath1 x 1 bedroom 2 baths (strange right?)

I suspect that something illegal was happening at that property.Many of the ones that were not strange were in extremely poor shape (not cosmetic but structural).In 2 years of looking at the local tax auction properties, we only bid on a single property and did not win the auction.
