The strange thing is that come to find out, this is the same owner that I reached out to 6 years ago to have the fence replaced after it was falling apart... and so we had an established communication channel and worked together in the past to split the cost.

Mortgage applications are way high.Also consider these facts:  the Millennials are saddled with incredibly high debt, both personal (college and credit cards) and inherited debt (printing worthless money to cover the government's deficit spending).Anyone claiming to know the direction or pace of events will probably lie to you about other stuff, too.So I tell my clients, "These are strange times, and no one can predict the future with any certainty.

I suspect that something illegal was happening at that property.Many of the ones that were not strange were in extremely poor shape (not cosmetic but structural).In 2 years of looking at the local tax auction properties, we only bid on a single property and did not win the auction.
