There are not only business reasons you keep information gained confidential but also legal reasons exposing yourself to liabilities that may arise from giving out what can be determined as business sensitive information.Perhaps individual HMLs are not aware of policy or adopted customs that become expectations by the public and at times in a judge's ruling.
