Even the Romans plastered their brick, understanding that the plaster was what prevented the clay in the bricks from breaking down.

After I spoke to a few home inspectors, they stated older plumbing (clay pipes), radon, and chimneys are unique to the area and are important to inspect. 

In FL, I used The CE Shop for both the pre-licensing and continuing education. it's pretty affordable and I did mine on my own time on a tablet (I didn't buy anything extra i.e. books, etc.).

I'm considering using a chrome book for mobility and to try an new experience (I enjoy technology and willing to explore new cell and tablets one day also).  

There have also been issues with laterals being clogged (particularly older cast iron or clay lines).  

I've not yet tried this, but I recently discovered the phone/tablet app versions will accept input from a bluetooth enabled laser measuring device, greatly speeding up the process of creating as-built drawings.

i see alot of socal and az landscapes put in where they cover the dry hard clay with a layer of very SANDY YELLOW gravel that sort of forms a stucco-like shell over the earth that chokes out weeds aside from the areas its applied very scantily like around existing specimens. wonder what's that stuff called, is it different from caliche?
