The area was busy and seemed to be doing very well for tourism.  

I chose the Smokey Mountain National Park area due to it's long history of tourism and positive attitude towards short term rentals.

I still stay in touch with my friends in the area, and so sad how much your country got impacted by the loss of tourism revenue.

So, visitors are fine and they keep coming back and retirees keep moving to Mexico.One thing to understand is that the drug cartels have no interest whatsoever in killing the golden goose of tourism, which would decrease their drug sales.

I was a broker in Jersey in the 70's for 10 yrs. so I've been through the Viet Nam war years when the VA and FHA went bankrupt, because the Gov wanted to make bullets instead of mortgages.

While we have a moderate amount of tourism, I don't think we are even at the top of the list for tourism in the state. 

I'm curious where you can find tourism data and trends on specific areas to help better identify winning neighborhoods for STRs.

Orlando is heavily tourism driven...it's got the hotel rooms and convention traffic like Vegas without the gambling and neon.

I prefer markets that depend on tourism for the local economy.
