Nowadays it seems like a goose chase for buying multi-unit properties in the Bronx and Queens

Do you think I could move my stuff (just a queen mattress, table, clothes, and smaller items) into 1 of the bedrooms of the new condo while it's being renovated, or is this not practical? 

In addition, I am walking for $$ in some neighborhoods just to get some ideas.Does anyone have any information on the market in NYC/Brooklyn/QUeens?

Queen Anne is a great location as well.

Our folks turn $225 to turn our home which is 2400sqft and sleeps 10.We have 4 sets of sheets for each bed. 1 king, 2 queens and 4 twins (bunkbeds) as well as extras for guest changes if needed.Towels are 3 per max guest.

Have been debating a bit on whether to buy a ready-to-move-in single family home or a duplex (to live in one unit and rent the other) in Queens, NY that needs quite a bit of work.

I live in Queens and sold a property in OH and did a 1031 into a property in Brooklyn.
