An alternative would be to use the extra power to mine bitcoins using graphics cards or ASICs and programs like nicehash or claymore.

How do you undertake in these type of projects?

@Richie Thomas - if you are undertaking major rehab, it would be wise to make sure your GC is pulling permits in my opinion. 

(or suggest if she would rather undertake the whole trimming herself as long as it is done by x date and includes the overhanging branches you would be okay with that as well).

I wouldn't under take that either unless i had my own cargo planes and ships leased out with a work permits and housing for a US crew.I have owned businesses and built commercial and luxury home properties in Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas.

I also have to agree with Lionel, taking on large Pre WWII rehabs from out of state is usually a very stressful undertaking.
