So my dream was to be an airline pilot.. started with flying lessons way back as a Senior in high school ( I was bagging groceries so I could pay for one lesson a week).. but this being the Post Vietnam Era the chance of getting hired on with out a very long process of flight instructing and so forth was something my limited patience just would not let me do.. airlines were hiring Jet jocks from the military us guys trying to work up it would take years.So my dad talked me into getting my real estate license.. so got that at 18.. started to try to sell.. it was very tough being so young.. but 60 days later and many tears from rejection ( see wholesalers ) I finally closed my first deal before I quit..

Seems to me if that's drywall paste textured that it will be difficult to impossible to scrape.

I suggest that if you are rehabbing an older home with plaster walls stay away from them if there were extensive wall paper covering unless you are ready to rip the plaster down and do drywall or you can rip the paper down and texture because I have found that back in the day most people did not use sizing and the paper destroys the finish and skim coating is mucho dinero.

Great point right now in the market place  quality subs are making bank.. along with GC.. there is a problem in the US with the lack of young people coming into the trades and want to just be investors and live the life they deserve by collecting rents :) BP is a prime example of that.Top Subs in our markets make BIG dough.. my dry wall contractor has 600 employees and a Jet..
