The worst I've seen so far is while looking at foreclosures is sleeping bags and people poo in the back yard.

From what I have read though if you employ solar and wind power generators then you are pretty much set, because if its not sunny then its likely stormy which means more wind :)Basically the civilization systems include everything you need to live a civilized life on an island, are completely self sufficient (you could remove the generator if you didn't mind the occasional black out), and again not as expensive as one would think, especially with the "go green" attitude really coming into play now a days, you may even start to see these kinds of systems becoming available to the rural population, and as economics dictates, the more widely available something becomes, the lower the price tends to be.Just thought I would throw what I know about islands out there for everyone.

Keeping the property, has me kinda close in my debt to income ratio (well on paper at least not in reality but that's a whole other story), and with the storm coming that is probably not were I want to be.The only rush we have is the fact that we have a newborn coming, and no nursury, but the reality is that the baby is gonna be in mothers arms non stop for the next 6 months, I spent the first year with our firstborn sleeping on the couch!

She is quiet, respectful, pays on time, and now can not sleep.

At the end of the day I can sleep soundly knowing that I did the right (and sometimes more expensive) thing with my integrity intact.

And they're not all "how i got rich quick in RE" type stories either - they're real life stories.I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to start investing, but doesn't really know how to do that, or what to go after...This is perfect for those folks, and it's a pleasant simple, entertaining read that definately won't put you to sleep!

Not saying nothing will happen but I try not to go to vacant properties/war zones (if I go there) after 12pm the latest, I have been there before where everyone inside was sleeping and I surprise them quick enough so that cant pull anything and I never go alone.

If its going to put you in a pinch to make your payments, or having the two payments interferes with your long term financial goals or your sleep, then don't do it.

What they gave was something much more important-- love, support, and an example of strength and self-sufficiency.
