And under that definition, because there was no minimum time in the CZO for how long someone needed to occupy a structure to be considered "living" there, the court used literal dictionary definitions (standard practice in NH as can be seen in the similar case Working Stiff Partners v City of Portsmouth) to determine what constituted "living as a household" as it concerns STRs.The court explicity rejected the idea that this ruling should have larger implications for STRs around the state, and it certainly did not at all in any way prevent municipalities from regulating STRs.

@Mauricio Quintana from what I understand, you can charge what you deem to be market rent regardless of the payment standard set up by section 8.

As far as positive ROI - I'd like feedback on the following items:-Switching to tankless hot water heater (current water heater doesn't look so hot)-Upgrading electric panel to a Span Smart Panel.

A couple of the adjacent cities are planning on building 2500 new homes in the area...not sure of the impact as there is a water shortage due to salt water intrusion.  

It included similar "loss of rental income", same liability limits, included building code upgrade, vandalism and even 10% for water damage and 5K for rot.  

Everything I have spoken of thus far is not in regards to water properties and cottages.

@Roberto Westerband on the investment property I will pull a standard commercial loan and have the property stand alone. 

The cites and communities ringing the lakes are still affordable and offer access to fresh water and more moderate weather.
