I also dabbled in wholesaling and flipping, but buy and hold with cashflow is the strategy I have come to prefer as we work towards financial independence. 

Don't just listen to what insurance salesman tells you, seek independent third party opinion.

RE investing is a relatively new dream as I was taught in my formative years to work hard for the “man” and max out your 401k to reach financial independence while my husband was raised in a more real estate minded family, so we make a good mix.

I'm not sure about the brain drain because it was published when Amazon was looking for an additional HQ that engineers are hired faster here than any other city. 

Rental properties of all kinds are outside of the SALT arena and are NOT affected by the tax reform.If you can find any published article that says otherwise - please post a link, and we will gladly point out where you misinterpreted it.Do SALT changes affect the real estate prices?

@Sydney Vasquez it took me a while 9 months because I was trying to learn everything independently.

I have the Zillow Rental Manager App on my Android Samsung S9.  I use the app to record a walk through, however it never appears on my ad. Does this happen to others? Any suggestions?Tim

I close on it Wednesday the 18th as of now, and even though this was a long process I really feel like this is going to rocket me onto the path of financing independence and a better quality of life!
