I don't know that you're in a fight or flight situation, but I would learn who is enabling this behavior and essentially go over the head of whoever is sending out these notices.

By the way, how sure are you you will be able to catch a quick flight to meet your tenant or inspect your property in the near future?

Most are removed and sold, as are all the gauges and flight gear.

Have not posted on BP in quite some time but here is some food for thought from another 20 something yr old investing in the midwest with an interest in Texas:About 2 weeks ago I purchased a one way flight from Indianapolis (my hometown) to San Antonio.

If they aren't in your battalion/detachment/flight/unit, I'd say hell yeah, but I'm also a retired Navy E9/EOD who spent a LOT of his career getting yelled at (totally worth it). 

as you get older your health insurance is going to take a big chunk  IF you have top flight insurance that is.. 700 to 1000 a month.. right there. then medicare is based on your income so if you get your income down when you apply for it in 25 years who knows.I dont see how anyone can live off of the amounts your talking about.. but then again I am married so there is that.

Hawaii is going to take more miles and traveling from North Dakota means connecting flights, which means even more miles. 

Denver is a 2hr 30min flight from the California bay area, with plenty of flights operating on a daily basis.

Even fewer fly their own planes compared to taking a commercial flight.
