But neither of them ever told me to remove him and if he's still paying rent sometimes then it made sense to me to keep him on it.Does anyone have thoughts/advice on this situation?

We do not accept any tenant that has ever been evicted.  

Have you ever had your credit pulled for a mortgage application and within a few hours your phone is blowing up with calls and text with random mortgage companies reaching out?

Why would you want someone learning on your dime on what might be the largest investment of your life to date?
