My long-term vision with attending these meetings is to bring up new ideas like including more mixed-use zoning, building better pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure. 

Lesson learned would be: One must have a clear vision, about investing in real property.

If your employer is paying benefits like health insurance, retirement match, dental, vision, disability insurance, etc. increase your $40,000 salary by about 25% to cover that part of your compensation package.Real estate agents follow the 80/20 rule.  80% of the commissions to 20% of the agents.

The vision is to become a large company in NJ and throughout the country.Is this a good idea to invest as a group?

my vision is to put a lot of money from my savings and spread it to put down the minimum required down payments needed for multiple cheap rent ready single/multi-family homes. to finance as many rental properties as i can all at once/short period of time.

Don’t spend all your time on the peripheral aspects of your business. 95% of your thoughts and actions right now need to be about marketing.

A single family house as a primary residence or house hack with a small multifamily would be my ideal starting point.My long term vision is to own enough real estate to take care of all my monthly expenses so I am able to focus on the work I would like to do.
