You'd most likely have to look for a commercial unit, which would be more likely to have the card reading accessories you're talking about + they can keep up with the constant use, which residential units aren't designed for.

As far as a general STR strategy, a nice 3x2 house within an hour of a major attraction is not too much to manage and can drive a nice nightly rate if you go with high end design
