As an aside, ask your attorney to get an endorsement to your title insurance policy for the rental properties to add the LLC as an additional named insured.

It is not an endorsement of any of them, but simply a list of those that are familiar with the most common issues.

To deposit it, you endorse the rear of the check, and include your account number there.  

In a couple other endeavors where I've spent quite a bit of time and energy, the information endorsed by the largest and most credible organizations has often been the most bland and ineffective. 

I know BP endorses Smartmove by TransUnion.

No collecting endorsement copies, no credit checking your contractors, no completed ops additional insured up to statute of repose, no checking contract compliance after the job is finished, etc).

The check is made out by you to BOTH the contractor and his supplier so they have to endorse the check, then hand it directly to the supplier for materials.It requires a lot of transparency, and usually an awkward conversation.. but it adds security.
