Could have been very painful...and embarrassing! 

That's the best way to get their defenses up and cause embarrassment.

I will begin by saying this is embarrassing for me but hopefully my naivety will protect some others.

I think a lot of people are just plain embarrassed and when they hear that the mortgage late information is floating out there, it's an "OH S***" moment and really wakes them up.In fact, when my wife and I realized that there were several of our neighbors on the mortgage late list (none that we know personally), my wife said to me, "Don't you dare ever miss a mortgage payment!!!"

And the person actually says thank you...I know all of you wholesalers are going to rip me a new one from that analogy but if an investor going to learn this business learn all of it not just the hard part.I would be embarrassed to teach a student to wholesale...

as far as mistakes go, this one is probably more embarrassing than costly. and you're def not the only moron here.

Another student of my mentor said he was embarrassed to tell people that he invested $25k in mentoring b/c he would hear the usual talk of "scams" etc.

I know and understand how embarrassing this kind of situation can be, but you have to act now.
