I use it and when someone calls the number it rings to my cell phone and on the rare occasion I don't answer the caller gets my voicemail.I have used google voice for a while. 

Nice to have in a major emergency, power outage, etc when all the cell phone towers get jammed up. 

However, i've found that a small directional sign to a house available for rent is infinitely more tolerable by nearby homeowners and any code enforcement, especially if it looks like it was hand written, simply because it DOESN'T say any of the commonly offensive Sales Pitches (We Buy Houses, Free Cell Phone, Medicaid Prescription Coverage, etc).

So grinding is in my blood and hunting down people to get a deal from, is what excites me however just like telemarketing and door to door there are "Do not Call" list and "No soliciting" signs.

I know a business associate that owns over 200 Cell Phone stores -- each is a separate LLC.

I have about 8 mortgages and something like 20 credit cards along with other accounts (insurance, utility, auto loan, cell phone, cable, netflix, amazon, etc).  

It's my office line not my cell.

And I make 49k a year after taxes and one of my cards just got bumped up 3000 dollars by itself and the other goes up 100 every month, and my DTI is good all I have is my rent, car, and cell phone that's not much I'm capable of putting a lot of money away each week
