I didn't realize it going in, but after the fact I understand how it makes sense that the parties that sourced the cash used for purchase need to line up exactly with the parties on the DF loan, since in many ways DF is just like getting a loan for the purchase, but having the loan come after the purchase rather than vice versa (how it's usually done).
