You should be traveling cross country for opportunities to make 100k, not save 1k.

You may be able to cross collateralize a loan on your other property temporarily and get good financing to build a nice home and then sell it. 

I found out that I'll need to build an access road as you can only get to the property by crossing another property.

I have been using them for 2 years and have not had any hiccups yet (fingers-crossed that continues).....with all that said, a good rule of thumb as a responsible owner is that you still need to pay attention to your balance sheet because human nature occurs and some things can fall through the cracks.

But once you cross that curb and get into that street it's no longer 10k.

Hey Jennifer, The only other way that you can tap into the equity from another property to purchase a new one, without having to refinance or obtain a HELOC is through a cross collateral loan.
