Engineers need to hang together.BTW - When I worked in Silicon Valley I found that many engineers liked REI.

The real problem I have with Fortune Builders is that they advertise coaching, team, and "help" when they offer very little of that when it comes to the Silicon Valley.

Afghanistan is a nasty place...get the hell out of there in 1 piece.I graudated with a bachelors in computer engineering..did a bunch of programming and EE design doing industrial automation for AUTOMOTIVE(BZZZ, Mistake..should have moved to silicon valley RIGHT out of college).

Here in Silicon Valley, everything is so inflated.

Google purchased 12 acres in the Playa Vista area and much tech is moving in creating the "Silicon Beach" idea among locals.  

While that would be a solid start if I was investing in other parts of the country, I live in Silicon Valley/Bay Area and the prices of any property are fairly steep so I am trying to learn techniques on investing with large financing/small upfront expenditures.If anyone knows of some solid techniques or advice, or even a great book/read/article on MFH investing ...

Sounds similar to mine in Jacksonville, similar market (although I live in Silicon Valley) with same appreciation while cash-flowing and rehabbing one unit at a time.I'm also an agent so I save on the commission as well;)
