My contractor and I went to the local Habitat for Humanity Restore and found a set of cabinets that will work for the house for $775 and they need to be repainted for $200 which drops my cabinet costs by $1200 from my estimates.

If you are going to repaint the house then start from scratch and do what you want because you are not trying to salvage what is there.

Although I am hoping the tenant, will not find the need to paint (everyone thinks they can paint but few take the time to do a good job) I have read in other posts that when tenant repaints they are making the place their own and tend to stay longer.

The flooring throughout needed to be replace, the kitchen looked like it had been gutted and the entire house need to be repainted.
