The floor re-finisher I used let me help him with the work and so did my contractor buddy that did the windows.

It needs a new roof and several cosmetic updates (re-tile bathrooms, refinish kitchen cabinets and replace countertop, new carpet in bedrooms, paint everywhere, etc.). 

I would remove it and replace with a shower or shower/tub combo.If you decide to keep it, I would find a professional to refinish it.

I'm trying not to do a complete refinish of the floors.

As it turns out the hardwood underneath will likely need finished as it is the original flooring and could use some work.Does anyone in Pittsburgh have a good recommendation for sub-contractors who they’ve used for refinishing hardwood floors?

Every other house ive owned had old hardwood that we were able to refinish so this is my first experience with an entire house down to the subfloor.

I am looking for a flooring guy, preferably someone who use dust collection system, to refinish about 1200 sqft of flooring in a house in western part of Cincinnati, OH.
