@Josh Skogen   I just sold a house with a disconnected fuel oil tank,, 265 gallon..I called tank removal company.. he said about 700 bucks to remove,, some locations require a permit for removal,, If you called a company that does this they will know what's requiredNot worth the headache or mess to do .Youtube has some videos on the subject..What's worse is disclosing that you don't have the permit, signed off, and can't prove it was done properly and might have to pay for soil test if you sell ...

The symptons you are describing sound like it has lint built up inside the back of the dryer or the vent tube going out to the outside is clogged.Before I paid a service company I would pull the dryer out and disconnect the vent tube and run it on high heat.

Water supply hose leak / rupture, drain hose leak / disconnect from drain pipes, water pump failures, etc.The paint build-up - that will need EPA RRP "contractor" almost definitely considering the age.I have a 150+ year old rental house.

And then the water meter is also disconnected, so that there is no way for water to get into the pipes.Then, all the traps get anti-freeze - traps exist in lots of places (toliets, under sinks, under tubs, under shower pan, in the washing machine discharge pipes, in floor drains - I may have missed some).

The event was very informative and the presenters made the Wholesaling process appear very easy, probably to get everyone motivated.The problem for me however, is that while I do get the concept, there is still a disconnect between what I think I know and what it takes to do a deal.

If you purchase a property and the heater looks new enough to not replace, but you dont know if it has been taken care of, you can drain it all the way down and hook up a hose to drain bib and flush it by blasting water in and then disconnect hose and drain it, repeating the process till water runs clear.
