Most of the time near downtowns and huge demands areas what you get is a fast appreciation rather than good cash flow. 

You have to love the simplicity of supply and demand!

With housing demand being so high in this area, and homelessness/affordability of housing being such a big hot-button issue, you'd think cities would do everything they could to provide more affordable housing.

If you have a good property in a good neighborhood that is in demand, I would never spend money on a PM.  

If people are already traveling there, they probably figured there was more than enough demand for room nights to add the rooms they are adding.

I would make them undo it all and then demand my money back.

Go where the demand is and be aware of the areas.

There's incredible demand here and growth, yet most of Florida and this area included, has really only just begun on a national stage.
