I admire your "outside the box" thinking but I think it's a bad idea. 

Lucky me my wonderful spouse was a tenant of friends from his church for many years, and many of the men from his church, whom he admires, have rented out portions of their homes to other church members (including students from the near by university).

They are truly a fantastic family that I admire.
