As others have said, be wary of folks quoting 2020 returns that (even at best) are cited as gross returns with little context in overhead, taxes, cleaning, supplies, utilities, etc.I’ve heard from colleagues in New England their bookings are way down, but it’s hard to make sense of that without of context.

This can def. be done....I am active duty Military stationed in England (been here 2 yrs and investing in real estate for the last 7 yrs).  

Hello BP,I live just outside of Boston and am interested in purchasing a short term rental property in the North Conway area (for those not from New England), North Conway is a popular destination, as it is within 30 minutes of 3 large skiing mountains, close to summer hiking, as well as family attractions such as Storyland and Santa's village.

Similar to the stock market, I think buy-and-hold investing is less risky than flipping, so I'm thinking that is something I'd be more interested in.Is there anyone else from the Rhode Island/New England area that may have any tips for a guy who has investing and business knowledge, but very little real estate knowledge?

I have no affiliation with them other than I've known them since 2007 because they started their speaking and selling in New England.

I'm coming back to England and plan on acquiring rental properties.
