Hi Alyssa,I'm a landlord and handyman and we don't scope our sewer lines unless there's an issue, but we do "Snake" and jet the clean outs every other year as part of fall maintenance.If the City records show a permit was issued, perhaps the old clay pipe was replaced with new PVC (which would be great!)

constrained by access to major metro areas and No interstate.limited Jet service and still a very small community ..Great little spot though for those that like the 4 seasons and high desert type things.you did VERY good buying when you did.. as I am sure those properties long term will out perform most anything save the best CA or CO locations..

If you are that back in times “cabin”, old “wood style” home with ugly fabric couches and brown wooden walls, it is hard to charge good money no matter if you are long term or short term rental.Consider accepting pets - only 40% of the cabins in Big Bear Lake do.Provide a hot tub or see if you have space for indoor jet tub - only half of the listings have the amenity.

Cost me 700 bucks to get it pumped so they could clean out the pipe and push a water jet through to clear the block.

I have also been looking for investment property in Amherst and was just advised to stay away since I was reminded that many of the properties there are in jeopardy of having major foundation issues due to the "peanut butter" texture of the clay soil of Lake Tonawanda that the houses were built on....I've done a bit of research on the issue as I'm looking for my first and not wanting to get in too deep.

It had alot of mold from leaky pipes , we removed all the drywall in the entire house for about 600 bucks all new drywall installed with texture for 3,100.
