Detroit has turned a corner and a lot of folks are starting to wake up to it.Still early innings though.

If so I would recommend local meetups and meeting folks from BP forums who are local.  

Hi @Franky Juwana, Those folks that you have spoken to are correct. 

Folks who don't have a lot of money typically aren't equipped to handle the financing of land, running utilities, surveys, building, etc.

This regulation only ask about another 6 months  Holding period is 18 months, as I recall. one year is to avoid dealer tax regulation, add another 6 months, yeah so total 18 months anyway , this doesn't change much expect folks would do less agressive buying.also for me in this market it doesn't make sense to immediately sell but better wait for 14 months at least.

Most folks from out of the area would tend to visit the parks in summer rather than winter when roads are closed and access is limited. 

I would recommend to look at the midwest sub 500k towns that have strong workforces and a good number of folks moving to them.
