Does anybody know of any resources that review the strategy and process of converting a single family home in a neighborhood zoned for multi family to a multifamily home? 

My current garage is not in a good shape so I'm debating btw fix the garage or convert the garage to an ADU.

I initially bought it in 2016 and converted the carport into a one bedroom studio where I lived for a couple years Airbnbing the main house.

Would really appreciate recommendations for an expeditor and or architect to file for converting an SRO building we just recently bought in Brooklyn to a 2 Family. 

However, if there is no active license, you can go to zoning permit documents and check if they have ever recorded it being built as a triplex or converted into one.
